NFV Summit Agenda is here! GNTC will open soon!

“Global Network Technology Conference” (www.theGNTC.com), themed by “new technology·new architecture·new network”, will see a grand opening in the conference center of Beijing Great Wall Hotel during November 28-30, 2017. As one of the largest network technology events in China, more than 2,000 representatives and audience will participate in GNTC.
In the morning of November 29, the NFV Summit chaired by Li Zhen, Deputy Director of CFIEC, will be a highlight of this Conference. International organizations such as OPNFV and ETSI NFV ISG, open source community ONAP, operators such as China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, Telefonica as well as H3C, Huawei, ZTE and other companies will attend, and the technology higher-ups in the field of NFV will share their unique opinions and have ardent communication with with the guests and audience on site.
As the NFV Open Platform Project established by the Linux Foundation, OPNFV is committed to building a benchmark NFV platform that will accelerate the integration, deployment and verification of NFV components of various open source ecosystems, which has always been widely supported on a global scale for many years. In October of this year, it just released a new version of its project, Euphrates, and goes further in function, interoperability and performance to help the operators drive network transformation through open source NFV. In addition, Vice Chair of OPNFV Board will give a detailed introduction of OPNFV’s work plans.
Since its establishment in February of this year, ONAP has aroused strong repercussions in the industry, and more than 50 members worldwide have joined this open source community, covering more than 50% of the global mobile users. At the end of this year, ONAP will release the first version “Amsterdam” that supports three scenarios, integrating Open-O and ECOMP codebases into a commonly used arrangement platform. Wang Yachen, President of ONAP Open Source, Deputy Director, Network Technology Dept, China Mobile Research Institute, will share the latest developments of ONAP at the NFV Summit.
Since its establishment in October 2012, NFV ISG (Network Functions Virtualisation Industry Specification Group) of ETSI (European Telecommunication Standards Institute) has published more than 60 publications and has more than 300 members, including 38 major carriers in the world, striving to jointly promote NFV application, testing and development of related standards. At the NFV Summit, Pierre Lynch, Chairman of ETSI NFV TST, will focus on the latest research and practical achievements of ETSI NFV ISG to enable the audience to have a more comprehensive understanding of the development of NFV in the future.
Carriers are the hard core in promoting network transformation, and NFV is one of the fundamental technologies driving this revolution, the domestic carriers represented by China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile, and overseas carriers represented by Telefonica have attached great importance to the development and application of NFV technology in their respective transformation plan. In addition, Li Chen, Center Director ,Network Evolution & Planning Center, China Telecom Beijing Research Institute; Tong Junjie, NFV Solution Manager of China Unicom; Chen Jiayuan, NFV Expert, Department of Network Technology, China Mobile Research Institute; and Antonio Jose Elizondo Armengol, Head of Network Virtualization Strategy & Technology in Telefonica will specify the impact of NFV on the industry from the perspective of carriers.
In addition, H3C, Huawei and ZTE also pay close attention to NFV as representatives of world-renowned enterprises, and have always been committed to technical practice and improvement in practical application. As of the first half of 2017, Huawei has deployed more than 260 NFV projects around the world and is one of the key members of ETSI NFV ISG. H3C has released H3Cloud CG, a carrier-class cloud platform specifically for the operator market, to help the network decoupling process, and speed up the implementation of large-scale commercial application of NFV. ZTE has also successfully deployed more than 240 SDN/NFV commercial/experimental bureaus around the world and has achieved fruitful results in deep cooperation with leading carriers in the world. In addition, NFV Summit will bring together a number of technology higher-ups, so please stay tuned for wonderful moments!
