Liu Dong, President & CEO of BII Group, was elected the IEEE-SA Standards Board Member

In December 2017, IEEE formally appointed Liu Dong, President & CEO of BII Group as the IEEE-SA Standards Board Member. The term starts on January 1, 2018. He will be responsible for the start-up, approval and review of IEEE international standards. From 2016 to 2017, Liu Dong served as the director of IEEE-SA and fully participated in the strategic decision-making and operation management of the IEEE Standards Association. In the future, Liu Dong will participate in the operation of the IEEE Standards Association and get down to the core development and formulation of IEEE standards, including approving the launch of the IEEE standard project.

IEEE is the world's most famous and largest non-profit multinational standards organization and academic organization in the field of electronic, electrical, computer, communications and automation engineering technology. It has about 420,000 members in 160 countries and regions and marks an important source of innovation drive in information technology field. The IEEE standard-setting content covers many fields such as information technology, communication, power and energy. It has increasingly become the core source of emerging technology standards, especially Internet + international standards. Currently, IEEE Standards Association has developed more than 900 current international standards. Liu Dong’s appointment as the IEEE Standards Board Member, is not only IEEE's recognition of China's technological innovation and international standardization, but also an expression of China's growing influence in the field of international standardization. The IEEE-SA Standards Board is the core management authority of the IEEE Standards Affairs. It coordinates and promotes the formulation and revision of IEEE standards and guides and promotes the proposal submission, start-up review, process negotiation, patent examination and resolution approval of IEEE standard projects. IEEE-SA Standards Board has an important voice and decision-making power.

Liu Dong, President & CEO of BII Group, has long been committed to standard R & D and international promotion. Over the years, he has led BII Group to actively participate in international standardization work and has extensively exchanged and cooperated with international standardization organizations such as IEEE, ISO, IEC, IETF and etc, and created a new standard system and norms in many fields.
